We provide ceramic coating. pkx02 is a finely textured coating for application to rollers, cylinders or flat surfaces. the coating has two components. the first is a bond coat of a dense, hard, high friction material and the second is a silicone based polymer impregnant. no finishing is usually required. pmx02 is offered as an alternative to ptfe, teflon and fep type release coatings where there is a specificrequirement for enhanced wear resistance against abrasive film products, better grip for drawing, tensioningor haul-off applications and /or improved release when handling high-tack or adhesive coated products. it should also be considered as a viable alternative to a silicone rubber roll covering. the release capability will not be dissimilar but service life will be greatly improved. pkx02 is pressure resistant and will not easily become marked or indented. environmentally, pkx02 has been shown to reduce noise output associated with 2peeling2 of adhesive coated film and strip from roller surfaces. this is attributed to the much improved release characteristic of the silicone impregnant. this is a particularly relevant feature on multiple slitting lines, where noise output is often a major problem. technical specification typical thickness.0.004 (0.1mm) surface finish.120-150 (3-3.75 microns) core temperature.ambient service temperature, continuous.280c service temperature, maximum.320c solvent resistance.all except aromatics cleaning.soapy water or solvent pkx02 is recommended to all producers and converters of plastic film and paper products, particularly where adhesive coatings are involved. applications include path line rolls, tensioning drums, draw rolls, coating cylinders and bottom slitter drums. the coating has also been used successfully to coat slitter knives, both multiple kiss-cut assemblies and single blades.
