Production Process The metallurgic process adopted aims at the copper extraction in form of cathode, starts with copper concentration to obtain anodes with 99.5% purity, for which high temperatures are used in the processes of fusion, conversion, and refining on fire. Following, the copper anode is sent to the electrolysis area, where copper goes through a purifying process named electrolytic refining after which the cathode of high purity levels is obtained.
